Walker570
Mods, can you have words with Team Tractor about putting these scary gut wrenching pictures on. Fortunately I had just finished my lunch.
fatchap
On a similar digit related subject, Today I spent 5 hours mirror polishing a blade, it really put up a fight, got it to milky but really struggled to get it up to a full mirror finish, so Started again, and spent more time between grits. The problem I have now is I can't unlock my phone. It doesn't recognise my finger print, which is inconvenient to say the least. My fingers are red raw, when I washed off the black. Anyway thought you might find that interesting. Just out of asking is Muriatic acid just concrete cleaner? ninjaferret
I once rolled a car, a vauxhall viva, when i knew it was going over i put my hand out the window and gripped the ridge on the roof, it bent my fingers a bit but also left 3 dents in the roof from my fingers. Now that did tickle lol

Diver One
Early 70s I used to fiddle with minis and Coopers decided to build an engine hoist whilst prepping for the welding with an angle grinder I managed to wrap the flex around myself. Best option was to pass the grinder behind myself whilst it was switched on. Passed it behind my back and got finger of the 'receiving hand' between the guard and the rapidly spinning grinding disc. At this point I realised that my method of disentanglement was not in my best interests; and also that it really really hurt. But I never did it again
fatchap
Rule No1 An Angle grinder has no respect for you or your body parts. They should never be 100% trusted no matter how proficient you are with one. In my opinion they are just waiting for an opportunity to hurt you badly and they generally do not take prisoners when they do. I dropped one once in full spin, luckily I had steel toe caps on, unluckily I did not foresee the angle grinders deliberate change of course on the way down to land behind the toe cap and administering serious damage to my foot and painful 4 hour wait in A&E. Where ever I can I use a Hacksaw. They are much more civilised. Edited February 6, 2021 by fatchap

figgy
Nath done that to my big toe years ago, wife had decided to stack all my tool boxes ontop of eachother under the stairs then place my 3.3 kv110v transformer on top. Mate asked to borrow it, opened the door a coat caught the transformer tipping it forward,it fell around three foot into my bare feet, too front edge almost cut my big toe off through the nail. Today making a target holder box 600high by 500 wide, had it on a plank while screwing together, screw slipped, box tipped tried to stop with impact driver, missed and caught it across my third finger nail bed, you know when hands are cold the pain takes a while then it ramps up to starting to growl and stamp feet. Luckily the blood behind has gone and now just sore.
figgy
Viva was Vauxhall's answer to the ford escort at the time. My dad has a couple during the 1970's, awful cars. My mates first car in 1987 was a dark Purple Morris Marina with bright red vinyl interior on a K reg. Nick named affectionately Purple Keith 🤪 a babe magnet it was not, unless you wanted to pull the blue rinse need a new hip brigade.
Good shot?
I had a Viva in the seventies, 4 of us went fishing at Esthwaite in the lakes and chassis snapped on drivers side when we got in to come home, all passengers had to sit on the opposite side in order to drive home. it was my first car and the only car I can remember the registration number of CWM 34c.😀 Edited February 7, 2021 by Good shot? I still use the carrier bags in leaky boots or wellies if they haven't dried out fully and used to put them between my first and 2nd layer of socks before I put on my rugby boots. I'm just too damn cheap to throw boots out until they fall apart
