Hi all, a newish radiator and valve (18months old ) has an array of temperatures the 2 pipes coming out the floor are luke warm, the bottom of the rad between the same pipes are cold yet there is hot air coming out the fins if you hold your hand above the rad. All other rads in the house are hot and are a mixture of styles and ages. . . . . any suggestions of what to do? Cheers lads

Yes it has thermos valve and turned it back and forward a couple of times and radiator now red hot as normal, so guess it's a new valve next time plumber services boiler!

Could be gunk in the system blocking the valve. Try taking some water out to see if it's dirty. Might want a flush out

Once a year unscrew the thermostatic bit and you should see a pin sticking up from the valve, give it a bit of oil and pull it up andf down gently with a pair of needle nosed pliars. Hate those valves, complete waste of time IMHO.

Will add that to my maintenance program; thank you
