DUNKS Posted February 9, 2021 Report Share Posted February 9, 2021 Last of "the gang" just died of the virus at 85. Gang of kids we used to meet "down the cut". A local canal bridge 7or 8 of us all at school. We never got into any mischief but just meeting up was what you did then 70 years ago. Not much else to do. My wife and I were childhood sweethearts then and looks like we are the only two left. Audrey, who just passed away used to nick the odd cigarette off her dad and we used to share it. My godmother is in her mid to late 90’s, and says even if she could go out she has no friends her own age to meet up with as they’re all gone, my mother being one of them.
