Saltings Posted February 13, 2021 Report Share Posted February 13, 2021 For the last thirty years i have holidayed in Galway (family) and all over England Scotland and wales never needed to go to the sun being irish lobster burn easy not enjoyable however seen more of Ireland after i left it than when i lived there so much to see an do so much to see and do here explore and help local businesses its time to explore home turf and help out a week in the sun or four long weekends in different areas an hour from home can someone jump in on this recommend places to visit at home i explore whats over that hill just me please recommend local attractions to benefit everyone when things open up to save foreign travel loads to see and do here not good with words help needed recommend local attractions walks parks beaches country shows game fairs fates rather than overseas travel STAY HOME KEEP SAFE PROTECT OTHERS Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've lever left mainland Britain, I've just never felt the need to , and guess I never will . I have an open ended offer from a mate in Australia, to go fishing, shooting , and drinking . I doubt there's enough years left in me to see all the places I'd still love to visit in the UK. When my children were young, holidays meant loading up the Land Rover and just heading off somewhere, nothing booked or planned. Days spent rock pooling or beach combing or building camps in woods, they had fun and learnt about the environment. Their friends sat around hotel pools or went to Disneyland.
