PCP pump as tank is out of date recommendations

Recommended Posts

I am thinking of getting a pump for my AA s410. my tank is due for a retest.

What would be a sensible pcp pump? I see they very on cost from £15 on https://www.amazon.co.uk/Zerone-Stirrup-Charger-4500PSI-Airrifle/dp/B07GB2BQXS/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=3+stage+pump&qid=1613664682&sr=8-6 to a lot more.

Having never used a pump as the s410 is only to 180 bar will it be fairly easy to pump?

thanks

David

Hello, all you have to do is pump up after every time you use not letting it get to low on guage , in other words keep the cylinder topped up, get an inline filter to avoid any moisture in cylinder,

I have the Webley pump its ok can be a bit odd so I test pump it first which forces the seal to close up in there seating then pump the tank other wise I some times get leaks, but I will upgrade to a hills mk4 as they seem to be a more assured and quality system.

If you live anywhere near Liverpool . CTS Will test and fill you cylinder for £15. Takes three days turnaround.

I'm being shafted at approx £60 then?

Doesn't it have to have a hydrostatic test in between visual tests.     , at about 2.5 year intervals? Or does this not apply to Air rifles/pistols?........Never used one other than for diving so its all new to me.
