I was stalking in Oxfordshire on Monday and saw another Roe buck in velvet that I reckon was bigger than that. But they all look bigger in velvet than they really are. I shot the doe that was with him.

He let me get close to about 25 yards , before he started moving away slowly.

I’m not shooting roe on this estate, unless injured or poorly... 

I did shoot 17 muntjac from last November though...

Well done with the Muntjac. I’ve been very unlucky with them this Winter. Our ground is FC controlled and we have minimum cull numbers set for us, including Roe.
