An awful lot of new gun for the money. I nearly bought one but went for a used silver pigeon instead...just feel a lot better quality in the hand. Anyone who says the ATA is a cheap Beretta - ignore them. They are a copy but they are different mechanically and materially.

Those I know who have bought them say they are brilliant, much like the old Escort semi auto.

I have handled them in person next to my Beretta silver pigeon and to me the ATA felt like a cheap rip off (to be fair, I believe that it is).

The wood seemed like it was laminated and the engraving seemed really overdone. Like a cheaper gun trying to be something that it’s not.

Severally of the people who I know that owner them have since sold them on (although raved how great they were when they first got them 🤷‍♂️).

For my money I would buy a second hand Silver pigeon, Miroku or Browning.

Also the RFD that I know told me he has them in because he needs a gun to sell to people who walk in and say their budget is £5-600. But if he was shopping himself he would do as I say and buy a second hand silver pigeon, Miroku or browning.

One of the blokes i shoot with bought one second hand. On one driven day the barrels swelled out where the chokes are. We asked him not to use it anymore' He later took it to the gunshop where he bought it and they wiped their hands of it and offered nothing. He took it home and sawed the ends off and still shoots it. Not for me. Buy something tried and tested

Didn’t ATA make barrels for Beretta at one point?

Beretta own Soeger in Turkey who make some barrels for them Berreta have their receivers made in ATA factories in Turkey

Sorry i meant Stoeger. Maybe this is why true Berreta men think the new Berreta's are not as good as the older models when they were made in Italy?

Sold loads of them. N9t a single complaint.

Don't have the feel of a Beretta but don't have the price tag either.

Tried a few in different models and couldn't fault them.

I keep them in stock whenever possible as they are very good at the price range.

Had mine since 2018, bought as a first Shotgun, having ignored the 'spend your money on a Second hand Silver Pigoen' advice.  Mostly because, at the time any second hand silver pigs were at least £300 more, and that buys quite a few lessons/clays/carts.

2.5 years later, I still like it.  Still don't covet a nicer o/u.  I did covet a nicer semi auto, and I've scratched that itch instead.

2 things I'd say

1) ATAs are now coming up second hand, I've seen them advertised for £450.

2) Get the adjustable stock version

Had mine 3 years now, and if I needed to , Id buy another.
Shoulders well , reliable, does what its supposed to do , and does it well.

I really dont understand this 'Its not as good as a Silver Pig' thing ?
For one theyre a 3rd of the price.
Two, they dont look or feel like a Berretta , they arent advertised, or supposed to be, personally I prefer the fat chunky fore end of the ATA.
Lastly , you arent so terrified of bumping or scuffing a £600 gun over a £1800 gun, to me the gun is a tool , not an ornament to be admired.
Others might feel differently , but if you want a solid performer with a great warranty should you need it, there isnt really a lot out there in this price point.
