HI HAVE BEEN GIVEN A BROWNING GOLD SPORTING CLAY 3 SHOT AUTO TO SELL ON BEHALF OF A DESEASED FREIND.

I HAVE STRIPPED IT DOWN AND CLEANED ALL MOVING PARTS AND RE OILED.

BUT FOR SOME REASON WILL NOT FIRE.

THE PIN ONLY JUST MARKS THE CARTRIDGE SO I KNOW THAT IT IS MAKEING CONTACT

WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM AS NEVER HAD MUCH TO DO WITH AUTOS

ANY SENSIBLE HELP APPRECIATED

THANKS

HI SCULLY

I REMOVED ALL THE MUCK THAT HAD BUILT UP OVER THE YEARS AND WIPED OVER ALL MOVING PARTS WITH OILED CLOTH THIS SHOULD BE OK ?

Has it been stored for a long period of time with the action cocked? Could be a weak spring that just doesn't have the piff to set the cartridges off. I have a semi auto rimfire rifle and i always "ease springs" before storing

HI ROB

DONT KNOW A LOT OF HISTORY ON THE GUN STORAGE SITUATION

ANY IDEA WHERE CAN I PURCHASE NEW SPRING ?

It’s just a suggestion, I’m no expert. As Rob85 suggests, it may just be a weak spring?
There’ll be someone along in a minute who knows what they’re talking about more than I do.
Nice gun by the way.
Knock off the ‘caps lock’, it makes it appear you’re shouting! 🙂
