Best spaniel training book

Good evening all

i am hopefully picking up my second cocker in a month or so...

My first is a pet/gun dog, he only started working at 8 years old. this one i want to work more, are there any must reads?

He will be in the house and hopefully be my 20 month old sons best mate..

Joe Irving's are some of the best. Most are very similar. Moxon's are good.


Training the roughshooters dog is also good. 

Dave Lissett's DVD's are good for watching rather than just reading. 


Joining a few gundog clubs and going to classes with other experienced people is a big help. Clubs are cheap to join (prob less than a book) and normally have a "designated trainer" or something thats handy.

as Lloyd says.  Join a spaniel club.   There’s a wealth of knowledge there


Bargain and a good book for all round gundog training :)
