Pushkin
Yet another scam version. Call from Amazon(sic) to say my order number - make it up as you go along - was now on its way to me and they had deducted the sum of £395:00 from my bank account. If this was not you please push button 1 and talk to our advisors. Aye and during that we will ask for your bank details so we can refund the cost. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Pushkin Edited March 4, 2021 by Pushkin Clarified language and corrected total.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Giving Bank details does not mean anything at all. I give mine out all the time and people pay direct to my bank. I pay all my tradesmen this way, I pay family members like this, hundreds of people have my bank details, why do people think this is dangerous? Now, if you give credit card details, PINs and Passwords, that is different, but your bank account cannot be touched just because someone has the Account number and sort code. These days in fact you even have to have the account holders name exactly right just to pay money to someone. RS

RS I Imagine while asking for your bank details they will slip in something like "oh for security reasons could you give me me you debit card number, expiry date, name on the card and the 3 numbers on the back". Definitely a scam as they said to me about a £39 gift voucher, which my account has no activity of a gift voucher.
