Has anyone seen the Maxus II anywhere in the U.K. yet?

They seem to look a lot like the new Beretta Xtrema or is it just me? 🤷‍♂️

Gone back to the twist cap fore end ... probably a good idea I bought a fairly newish Maxus I and the fore end removal and the clip to put a sling on isn’t great to be honest. It’s very tight and hard to operate.

I did consider the Beretta but didn’t think it was worth an extra £700 on top.

Be interesting to see what the Maxus II brings to the table.

I'd much rather have the Maxus one I have now. I like the forend catch, you get used to how your sling attachment is quite quickly.

Lloyd out the forend on and when halfway down just jam it down and it should just click shut, or put but on hip and pull on the forend and press the catch. Just a knack you get used to. I like the forend shape of the Maxus one.

Im not sure if it’s poor QC but it’s quite fiddly to get it to push down when putting the sling attachment in.

Maybe it’s just because it’s so new.

Ive had an older REM 11-87 where the screw fore-end got stuck and needed a strap wrench to remove it so see the appeal of the Maxus fore-end but does leave me wondering why they’ve changed it.

just put a shim on the wickedwings version just to drop the stock a bit to come in line with my other auto's , try it out in the morning ,

I did the same the other day but to give it more right hand cast.

Looking forward to use it again next season now :)
