I drive a Ford ranger wildtrack with canopy and it costs me £12 for the outside or £25 for inside and out. That’s in Essex. £35 seems a bit steep to me irrelevant of how many people are in the line working. What vehicle is it?

Chap this way charges £120 for Land Rover size inside and out but he has it a minimum of 5 hours. £80 for a car.

Isn’t that a professional valeting though? I’d expect to pay that sort of money for a proper valet with all the speacialist products  and a gleaming finish. I got the impression from the op that it was a quick wash/clean up inside and out job/ roadside car wash

For the last 3-4 years the local place known as the "taliban" carwash charged £7 for outside only and £15 for the full works. About 5 lads descended on the car and did the job very well in about 10 minutes. My rich youngest son was so impressed he bunged them a score.

They seem to have gone now, looks like lockdown or maybe Brexit did for them.

I can't get my Landie washed. Every time I pull into the wash base there is a scramble of Romanians for the exit and they vanish up the road.  Ok, I know it spends quite a bit of time back and forth through a dairy farm but you get used to the smell eventually:yahoo:

You should take the Immigration Enforcement stickers off the sides.

Aldi have jet washes at £90, car shampoo is £10/5ltrs and a chamois around £10, soon make your money back.

If you are time rich (retired or single etc) then this is a good idea. However the time taken is excessive if you have a full time job, family and shoot.

My personal solution to this predicament is to have a filthy car and wear it as a badge of pride. It’s not at all messy but it’s not at all clean. My car tells people I’m equally busy and cheap 🤣

Mine shows I have a PROPER Land Rover and use it accordingly.  It is at present getting it's once a year spring clean and it is amazing what you find behind and under seats and mats. Two handfuls of fired 22 cases, a Golden Whispa choccy bar I knew I had purchased but couldn't find and a half ham and cheese sandwich I dropped when a tree rat suddenly appeared, then forgot to retrieve it and much more....memories memories:good:

Buy yourself a rotary polisher and pads spend 8 hrs doing a 3 stage polish. Then a nice layer of Mitchell & King carnauba wax (£200 a pot from their budget range) throw in a inside clean perhaps another 3 hrs using pure bristle brushes job done and you still have 6 days left in the week to enjoy yourself 😂😂
