French Fisherman

The French problem is that no government would like to be seen to capitulate to bullying. The ramming of the boat was pathetic. had it been the other way, i am sure it would have been seen as an act of war.

They need to get their act together and file proper applications, backed up by paperwork. They don't appear to like their past fishing methods scrutinised.

Tough luck.

In addition ........ the French like to quote 'the rules' at you when it suits them .......... and claim they don't apply when it doesn't suit them.

The problem with them always was that they wanted everything just how it suited them - and no thought for anyone else.

While all eyes are on this little fracas in the channel the fishing grounds in the central North Sea are being massively plundered by Danish Industrial Fishing Vessels.  Nor boats as we know them but ships up to 300ft long which have denuded our waters of sandeels, to be turned into animal fodder.   Bycatches have been recorded of up to 95% juvenile haddock yet this goes on unabated.   Prime  white fish have  all but vanished from this are its simple no sandeels = no food=no fish.
