Amber Hill cartridges

Recommended Posts

A few mates did a sim’ day at the weekend and mate bought Amber Hills 24grm 8’s to take with him as he thought they may be a tad softer on the shoulder over a few hundred clays.
He told me he was very very impressed with the breaks and the ranges he was killing them at through quarter choke.
They have a purple case now as apparently not even many women liked the pink! 🙂

I’m going to have to try them. Anyone else done so?

I bought four slabs in purple as they were on offer from JC. I only buy 21gram for clays regardless of where I'm shooting as I generally shoot a slab a visit.

I have a huge shrapnel scar in my right shoulder and a weak left arm following a stroke as well as arthritis so am recoil aware. I found them excellent at least comparable with the 21gram blue diamond I had been using.

Currently using Lyalvale super light as again they're on offer🙄 and the Amber's are cleaner and possibly slightly better.

I've not used them for a while but I really liked them, missus wasn't so keen and found them punchy.

Originally picked them up because when we first ever went clay shooting it was a bank holiday and had to buy cartridges from the ground, which were an Eley 24g 8 fibre that the ground use for training. Amber's being the same I thought they would most likely be the same cartridge in a different case.
