I promised to post my latest gun porn when I could. Well picked it up this week after a long wait due to COVID, work etc.

Dickson Round Action 1903

re-barrelled 1984 by McKay Brown so excellent barrel condition and wall thickness

2 1/2” chambers, chokes 1/8 and 3/8

stock has been cast left for me and leather covered pad as you can see. Just need to get out on the clays at Westlands

I am confident that whatever we face this will be suitable for standard steel, just hope I can shoot straight with it.

Thanks and yes I will. Agree how elegant they are. Wanted one for a very long time but with steel in the offing wanted the right gun. Much as I love Damascus, and have several such guns, most of those Dicksons tend to have thinner walls than I like.

Absolutely gorgeous and good luck with it, I speak to Mr McKay Brown regularly whilst out with my dogs, an absolute gentleman,  who always enjoys a good chat about his life in the gun trade. May I ask who done your leather covered pad ...?

Lovely to look at .

Delightful to hold

But a ****** to mend when they get old .

They are so different for all other British made  guns that there are no " common" parts . With most  British [  I'm diplomatic here ] guns you can in an emergency ,adapt or alter something to suit , but not with these .

Yep, like a lot of old English guns. I am fortunate it comes from a gunsmith with impeccable record with Dicksons and a good guarantee.
