What high lace boots are everybody using these days? I'm with meindl still but fancy a change - particularly after seeing some Brandecosse boots.

Anybody got any experience with them?

Seen a fair few dedito boots now too, anyone put some hours into them?

I’m as you, currently Meindl ( and Matterhorn ) but really fancying the Brandecosse.

I know of two who have them; they do a lot of stalking and rate them highly.
Also two mates have the Dedito and rate them also.
A lot of it’s down to personal preference really, but I really like the look of the Ecosse.

Dedito comfy straight out of the box

They do come up small so you need to up 1/2 size at least

had harkila before and where good but inside of heel area worn and became uncomfortable but did do many years

danner before them, insulated and where really good but left them in storage for a while and they hardened up and just couldn’t get in with them after that

Yeah I read an article in the shooting times on boots and as soon as I saw the brandecosse ones I got a funny feeling in my downstairs area.

Like the sound of dedito as supposedly they're pretty light which would be good as I want to wear them all year round - fed up with dealer boots and rolled ankles!

Apparently brandecosse customer service is second to none Sam may have a call round.

Oh yes, gloriously comfortable footwear, first pair bought in the US tax free, but still wearing them 25 years later.

Lol, bought mine around 25 years ago too, still going strong. Never been resoled but to be fair if its very wet I now sometimes wear neoprene dirt boots as they come up to my knees. Can't imagine what life without my danners would have been like. Only boots I've ever been able to wear with or without socks and in all weathers/temperatures.

I have been using Meindl Extremes for a while and love them. But in a sale i got some Hanwag Tatra long boots and they are very good as well. I started to wear the Hanwags more than my Meindls by the end of the season.

They look like a decent boot for the money, they'd probably outlive me😲

I sold a pair of harkila boots that made my feet ache and bought Brandecosse three seasons ago. Absolutely love them for serious hill work with the dogs. Teamed up with gaiters they are unbeatable. Go for it!
