Question

I haven't a clue and am still wondering about the need for an RFD (Pellpax) to deliver to me a non FAC mod for my non FAC air pistol by their own in-house delivery service. I can only assume that they're legally obliged to and if this is the case it would seem that the law yet again is one of those donkey type things.

Can my mate post me his moderator?  I can buy a lawnmower silencer on line

whats the difference

Many thanks in advance

I've bought second hand AIR RIFLE mods twice and been delivered through the post, fellas making them and selling them have to sell in kit form, guessing this is why a Rfd can't post them out.

Not quite sure that I like which way this is going. Would be a teensy weensy bit annoyed if I forked out for the courier delivery if it was just to keep them busy.

I think that rfds have to post them this way for some daft reason,  better to collect it or have someone else collect and post, worth a phone call though, adding £20 to your costs is pointless.

Could this be because they need some a** cover and usually need to use that method for most items anyway?

A moderator is a firearm component and is on the RFDs register, everything on the register can only be sold fact to face. Once it is sold for air use it comes off the register and as a private individual you can sell it to anyone over the age of 18 exactly the same as an air Rifle.

Many thanks.

So, I could buy, say, 100 at a discounted price for my non FAC guns, having them RFD couriered to my door and sell them on at a price having fired one shot so second hand and have them delivered at Royal Mail rates.

How much discount do you think you might get and do you really think you would make sufficient profit to make it worth your while.

Would hope to make nineteenandelevenpencethreefarthings.

On the other hand, it would be safe to assume that I was having a poke at the donkeyishlikeness of the particular legislation.
