Si-Bore
Hello all. A farmer friend asked if I could help with finding some parts to repair a Cash X bolt gun. If anyone can offer advice as to where to look for spares for this model please let me know.

bluesj
You could try here https://www.accles-shelvoke.com/tools/cash-special/cash-special# But looking at it the bin would be the best place for it and get another.
Si-Bore
I contacted them via email. They were very helpful and quick to respond. It’s basically been out of production since the 60’s 😂 I guess Beamish museum would be the next place.

I didn't get an answer when i asked how many animals had gotten ill after a contaminated rod was used.

If the animals are killed by the bolt how can they be contaminated and become ill by a previously used one?

Although there was a good reason for not using the reusable ones at the time it was stopped, it was so that brain stem samples were not contaminated between a cow with bse and one that didn't have it. Goldfish
Hi @Si-Bore I took mine to a machine shop and they made up new parts for me at not much money. This guy will probably have the gun and parts, very helpful and as the parts are unlicensed can be posted.
