The Lions Tour

Well the first warm up is done and Alun Wyn Jones is out of the tour with a dislocated shoulder. Not an ideal start! A 28-10 win over Japan is fine, but as they were leading 21-0 at half time, it would have been nice to pile on a few more points. Any predictions for how we'll do in the main event?

AWJ could join the tour in about 3 weeks time it is being said, and Itoge is not a bad replacement.

I think this will be a tough tour, SA are so physical, their back row all average about 6' 6" and  17/18 stone, I live in hope.

Great win for Harlequins over Exeter today in the Premiership final.

Eng A  V  Sco A on Channel 4 live tomorrow, (Sun 27/6/21), 1.30pm ..........Lewis Ludlow the Gloucester captain skippers Eng A.

I'm well behind,  only just watched the second half, but had a lot on.

I love the idea of the Lions, best of the best, obviously the coach picks players he has worked with well before but that's how it goes.

Only the first game,  subs were made a bit haphazardly,  that needs to be managed better, tired players were how Japan scored.

AWJ is a big loss but that's how the Lions goes, CL could have done better getting such a great opportunity,  most of the starting 15 did well, some really well.

Back three did great, centres especially Henshaw.

I thought Sincler did well when he came on.

Japan almost played too much rugby and were sometimes there own worse enemies but it makes for an entertaining watch.
