I keep getting calls about some share i used to own, they keep asking if i want to sell my shares in this particular company. I am fairly sure that i sold all my shares in this  company some years ago but with getting asked several times if i want to sell them how do i go about finding out whether i  own any of these shares or not.

I imagine you can contact the Registrar of the company - who will be listed on the company's website (see possibly under investor relations).  I am not sure what ID or proof they may need to see before searching for you?

I’m surprised you’re getting calls about it. I own a few shares in a couple of companies where I’ve sold most of the holdings but had misplaced a couple of certificates, they write to me once a year asking if I want to sell the remaining ones

If you still had shares I would have thought you would have had dividend statements yearly from the company.

Not all companies pay dividends 🤔

Just tell them yes and you will quickly find out.

This 😂

Just watch out if you do have shares - the broker could be encouraging you to sell if there’s a good catalyst coming up and the shares are in short supply.

It sounds to me like a hostile take over is being planned. Thats about the only reason somebody would be trawling for shares
