I have a Hunter scope, bought it new from Henry Monks in Chester. I think it must have been in 1980.

Had it on my Dads .22 BRNO for years, it was and still is a damned good scope and accounted for thousands of rabbits in its time.

They come up on eBay from time to time but I am afraid I don't know much more than they came in a red box.

Gloss but not mega shiny, not very shiny at all now as it is fairly knocked about.

I have never been precious over it as it spent a lot of the time rattling around in my truck but nor have I been rough with it. I see no reason why it won't last a long time yet.

I can't remember how much it was but seem to think it was the same price as a  gun would be. It was an extravagance to buy it at the time, nearly broke my heart to discover you had to buy mounts separately.
