Mattress topper

Never heard of them until a couple of weeks ago, just something to go on top of your mattress just like a thin quilt! Nuts, why would anyone need something like that, it's just something invented by dunelm and the like so you buy more stuff!

But then my wife bought one and oh my goodness!!! Morning aches are less of a thing, all the injuries from rugby and work are soothed and we have just bought a bespoke mattress with an integral topper that is 3 inches thick, can't wait to try it out 💤

I'm on the fence regarding expensive mattresses, wife spent £1200 on ours and it's not good. It's a memory foam but I swear it suffers from Amnesia, hot in the Summer and scrotum tighteningly cold in Winter, weighs so much that it would need 5 Navvies to turn it and springs I'm fairly certain came from a Rally car. By contrast I bought 2 doubles off the bay of plenty a few years back for for £150 delivered for 2 teenage kids and they are really comfortable.

..same with duvets & pillows. Buy the best & you'll never regret it.

We have with our bedroom, but the guest room is cheaper but still good gear.

...memory foam...

Don't like them either, our new one is a similar price but sprung and with the built-in topper.

I tried quite a few in Aldershot back in the day.

lucky you found some in Aldershot............The Pegusus Pub was always devoid of them (unless you liked the taste of port and lemon in your mouth) so we had to wander up to the Worlds End....which usually ended up being escorted back to Browning by an M.P. or 2................

Bubbles the disco in Reading was far better..(or ontop of the fuel tanks in Brize)..

We got a topper. thrown in when we invested in a vispring mattress after  We slept on one at a holiday let for a week we were both  so impressed I had no problem parting with just short of £1k for one of our own. added to the fact it was made to order with firm springs on  my side and softer for Mrs Agriv8. Put the topper on to protect a 1k mattress makes sense. The final point to Add is the fact you can machine wash the topper to freshen the up or if it gets soiled!

How times change, Exchange had them for free, GT you could win them as prizes. Unfortunately Pegasus is the only one left now.

Reading was too far, but at Brize they came free with every second pint.

I took on TCW at the Brize Bop caused by a mattress topper - I had to go to hospital the next day as they thought I had busted my canticles in my hands......

3 and a bit years later I was posted to TCW!!!

Ditchy I am reliably informed from the do good squad at work you are not allowed to assume the are any of the above and may not identify with either gender. I have yet to find a gender neutral crapper but suspect we will get a memo regarding that shortly!
