Tried the norma this morning , great 60yd group , then all over the place out to 100yds , sk next , just had time to put the sk over the chrony , standard plus out of a 16” barrel 1067 , match plus 1073

Sk standard plus I’ve found to be very accurate 😀👍just a shame I can’t get the subsonic hollow point sk’s any more.

Going to give them a go as soon as i get the chance , yeah they stopped making the hollow points

Still available in high velocity hollow point though, which is a bit odd?

Just going through the same process as down to my last couple of boxes of 40gr Eley's

used the SK subs a couple of years ago and they were better than Eley but no longer made in Subs, the SK Standard plus 40gr velocity are 1073 f/s with 26" Barrel so should be slower in shorter 16" barrels, bought some a while back and were accurate but went back to Eley when I managed to pick another batch of 40gr up.

just pulled a box out to try later in week

.22 subs will be faster out of a 16” barrel than a 26’’ barrel. All the powder has burned and pressure dropped before 16’’.

Also find them pretty accurate and not too noisy

I was under the impression that longer barrels increased velocity due to longer time period in barrel, does it make that much difference with sub's being a slightly lighter load

Telf's chrono result with 16" show standard plus as 1067 over SK data of 1073 with 26" barrel

I could be totally wrong here but i thought the 16” barrel was the optimum length for .22 subs , but on saying that anschutz and weihrauch make 14” barrels , maybe the mv is minimal so doesnt make that much difference, and the 1073 out of a 26” has got me totally lost
