Well, that concentrated the mind.

The barrels on the 725 Black Gold said 15.9 so 0.624" wasn't far off. Having measured the supplied chokes all was well until I got to the TC which gave 0.629" - .005" open. The 0.624" was the 9" down as usual so went from the muzzle end just clear of the choke and found 0.630". This started to make sense. Having found out that they're scarce and the fact that initially with the .624", the 1/4 at .622" didn't look all that clever, I jumped the gun and now have a Teague 3/8 which will suit. It really is a delight so have asked if they've got a 5/8 handy. Fingers crossed.

All's well that ends well.

Just cartridges are on the ball now that the new stock is in. Express 7s delivered to them yesterday and I got my share today. Seems Express have reverted back to English standard size for the ones that I bought unlike the last lot.

Then that nice Mr Teague did what he does best and fixed me up with the 3 chokes that will take care of all my needs from now on in.
