Walker570
Picked my first billace ( from the floor) this afternoon and they are at this moment being gently cooked prior to be added to a pastry case. I did de stone them. There are probably a bucket full on the floor which I need to pick up tomorrow and they will be used for jam. I love this time of year when you visit each and every tree checking if the fruit is ripe. Noted a couple of good recipes for pear bread on you tube so some odf the huge amount of pears this year will be made into bread and then frozen for the year to come. Ah, "bullace", sounds nice with pastry and a bit of icecream or custard 👍
Stonepark
Better after soaked in gin for a month or two, then eat with icecream
