Full length unpadded sleeve. What's it for?

Bought a new gun which has the usual fabric covers for the stock and barrels/forend.

It also came with a tight, full length, unpadded sleeve. Is this for use when in the cabinet? If so, is that a good idea? I prefer the idea of air circulating.

Its a gun sleeve. I have them on all my guns. Stops hanger rash. Cant comment on air circulating, my house usually runs at around 40% humidity. plain steel with no protection wont rust. If  you do have concerns just chuck it away simples.

In my cabinets, I have VP90 vapour sachets which last up to a year. They are supposed to release chemicals that penetrate all parts of firearms and give protection to metal parts. I also make sure that all of my firearms are dry and at room temperature before locking them away.
