Oh dear Mr Frog, your trust has been betrayed eh? Has not the UK given you millions of pounds to stop shipping human detritus across the channel? Can we have our money back?

As they are supposed to register in the first country they set foot in, maybe we should send the bill for the upkeep of all the ones who get here to the EU seeing as it should be them dealing with them.

and when some of them failed to go off they flew technicians out there to recalibrate them.

Part and parcel of the deal, at that time our sea wolf close range weapons wouldn't work on targets that are not in inbound to the vessel with sea wolf which is (one reason) why HMS Glasgow was hit by a 1000lb bomb.

They sent down a technical team to sort it.

Point of order Mr chairman

we pay them millions of pounds to pay for extra patrols. Nobody said anything about the extra patrols stopping the boats. We were just stupid to think thats what the patrols would be doing.

The countries have wised up to this long ago and make sure they are given no documentation that can be used to prove they ever passed through

No they are not, right wing propaganda again!

"Neither the 1951 Refugee Convention nor EU law requires a refugee to claim asylum in one country rather than another.

There is no rule requiring refugees to claim in the first safe country in which they arrive"

Amnesty international.

And this too

To avoid abuses, European law, the Dublin Regulation, requires that asylum seekers have their asylum claim registered in the first country they arrive in,[6] and that the decision of the first EU country they apply in, is the final decision in all EU countries. However, among some asylum seekers, the fingerprinting and registration is vehemently resisted in countries that are not considered asylum-seeker friendly, as they often wish to apply for asylum in Germany and Sweden where benefits are more generous.[

It doesn't make a massive amount of difference because if Italy granted them all assylum immediately, just rubber stamped everybody.. Once its granted they can then legally move to Germany or Sweden under freedom of movement. However, that doesn't apply to Britain any more.

No they can't.

And regarding Dublin agreement;

"The Dublin III Regulation identifies the Member State responsible for determining an asylum application using a hierarchy of criteria. These include: family unity, possession of residence documents or visas, irregular entry or stay, and visa-waived entry. UK Government guidance on the Dublin III Regulation highlights that family unity is a primary consideration"

So not just where they first arrived, they have around 5 months to pass through a country on the way to a country that has consideration of family.
