Hi guys i've just watched a woody eat an earth worm about 4inch long ,there was 2 birds pecking about on my lawn picking out clover and  one pulled a worm up and ate it , it was quite a bit bigger than its mate , so has anyone else seen woodies eating worms ?

I dropped a couple of pigeons in the local stables yard that had been feeding on the muck piles, I thought they were after rotting seed but when I checked the crops there were all sorts of things in there including a lot of small red worms, I think they are just opportunist feeders that will adapt to anything that will sustain them.
