Vacuum food sealer recommendations please…

Hi,

I am looking for a vacuum sealer for bulk freezing pigeon breasts, rabbits, venison etc etc.

I am usually a “if you buy cheap you buy twice” kinda guy so don’t mind paying for quality but there seems to be a lot of options ranging from £30 up to £300 and with no brands that I recognise I am truly bamboozled.

Any help would be greatly appreciated 👍🏻

Personally I think the introduction of vaccum machines made deep frezzing excess vegetables and meat so much easier. My dep freeze no longer has a mixture of peas, beans etc covering the bottom and I can store at least twice as much.    My advice is buy the best quality machine you can afford, not necessarily the biggest. Purchase the crimped bags because this does prevent freezer burn.

I have a Russell Hobbs unit, presumably available in the UK. Had it a few years now and it's been real game changer. Combined with dry ageing, our fish and meat comes out the freezer in excellent condition. No more freezer burn. It also makes a very nice looking "product" which is great when giving fish and meat to friends and family.
