Anyway, these people with money are pushing that money into places that agree to support this gender identity theory, that a person's sex is whatever they say it is. They mix up sex - your physical reality - with gender - sex stereotypes that are dependent upon the Society in which you live. Politicians are either taking the money (Liberal Democrats, taking money from pharma) or buying into the religion (Labour) and insisting this is the new truth.

Now, why would Starmer make such a fool of himself over something that is so obviously untrue? How have the Labour party become so detached from reality? Over the last five years well-meaning institutions wanting to improve themselves have sought help from Stonewall, once a venerable fighter for LGB rights. But now Stonewall has embraced Gender IDentity, mostly thanks to massive donations from the Soros foundation ,the Arcos foundation, and many others, all in favour of gender identity. Follow the money. CEO of Stonewall said they Stonewall gave up LGB for T  because they "had been under significant pressure from individual donors, stakeholders, campaigners, the organisations and the companies they worked with, who were all baffled why Stonewall would not consider trans issues". And before you know it Stonewall law is in place, they tell well-meaning organisations how they think things should be, not what the law says. It's why so many organisations have withdrawn from Stonewall this year. They said "It is the law that you treat a man who identifies as a woman as a woman" when actually that man is not a woman and even if they gain a gender recognition certificate they can be excluded from places such as rape crisis centres and women's changing rooms. They lied. They told everyone that this was they way it was going to be and anything else was transphobia.

 The Conservatives tried to bend to this wish, but the pushback was huge. They dropped the idea of repealing the Equalities Act and allowing self identification. The opposition have not had to deal with making permanent decisions that affect everyone.

Thanks for that, consider myself educated although some of it went way over my head. 

I just don't understand what all this trans nonsense is about. If your born with male parts your sex is male, if female parts your female, in the very, very rare case of intersex its usually very clear which sex they are. If someone wants to believe they're a different sex to the one they were born that's fine, I'd obviously be polite and refer to them however they wish, but I draw the line at men wanting to use female changing rooms, or other female "safe" areas and I'm against anything that changes laws that are designed to keep females safe and would be eroded by males gender being changed in law. The government can't tell me something other than my eyes know to be true and I think any other right thinking people would probably agree with me on this.

Sadly the scales are falling from my eyes and I am starting to agree. I can’t imagine the CPS could be that dysfunctional but as a barrister then judge, my late father-in-law would probably have disagreed.

I sometimes sit and try to muddle my way through things ,  and understand them , but even with a comprehensive explanation like liz has given , it all makes no sense to me . I try to remind myself that we all have the right to be a little bit different,  but I usually just come to the conclusion that they're all just mental.

I have read some of the Tavistock clinic debacle and am deeply deeply suspicious of anyone wanting to chemically alter children so they stay children…. 
 

I am also a firm believer that if you truly believe you are something that you are demonstrably not then you are a mentally fragile person and should be treated as such and not dictating government policy or running charities. If I walk around declaring I’m Napoleon I would expect to have some interest from the medical profession and not be part of COBRA suggesting we invade Russia…..

It is State Sponsored though, equality is being used to justify some things that really should not be happening.

The BBC and other broadcasters regard a lot of this carp as normal and promote it!

Very glad my family has grown up before all this happened, but when they have chlldren that will be difficult.
