boo Posted September 28, 2021 Report Share Posted September 28, 2021 This is dog Rose, makes a good dense stick , I'd leave the thorns on and season for a good twelve months , knock thorns off and away you go , I've also got a perfect dog rose thumbstick, which is rather nice . Just a simple stalking stick nothing fancy. If I remember back then, I cut it and strapped it to a straight piece of pine board and left it to dry out. Then just put a bit of antler on the top.
