The problem with 'too far right' politics, is that since the WW2, we have been bought up to fear it, and it's totalitarian connotations.

Don't get me wrong, any extreme swing is dangerous and always authoritarian, but since WW2 , what kind of politics has been the one that has ended more freedoms, claimed more lives, and caused more division?

Even today, in the 'civilised' West, Marxists and socialists are the politics of division, and seek to curtail freedom, if their is a voice that says 'let the economic migrants come' no matter what the consequences for our society, you can pretty much guarantee it comes from the left.

Any complaints are met with the usual, 'You are all far right, racist, nazis'. When all they are is just people who want to see their taxes spent on things that benefit the country they live in.

They say the right is the politics of hatred, but the left hate the right with a passion, and don't like themselves very much either.

When do you ever see the tories call the Labour Party 'scum' or shout expletives across the chamber at question Time?

This hatred for the right makes anything right of centre, very dodgy ground in the mindset of a nation bought up on war films, that depicts the axis as evil people whose right wing madness destroyed Europe and perpetuated the holocaust.

GOOD POST.

People are totally unaware that the "Nazi Party" actually started off as a socialist party

National socialist German workers party, designed to fight against losing 'workers' or working class, to communism.
So not socialists in the same vein as we know them today.

However, its interesting to note even today, how left leaning , socialists , or even full blooded communists, still see anything that goes right of their mentality, as the enemy.
Couple that with a little perceived class warfare, and back to the 1930s we go

The problem is , very few people live in the type of starvation level poverty of 100 years ago , yet these peculiar ideals still remain.
The idea that those on the left, are somehow , morally 'in the right' and those on the right , are somehow 'wrong' , is bewildering....
Even more so , when the purveyors of marxism or socialism , are all champagne swilling multi millionaires !

Anyway, my point is , its not morally wrong to not be a fan of uncontrolled immigration, especially when they arrive illegally, its a bad start to any relationship, when the other party kicks your door in and demands entry,  board and lodging?
But we are lead to believe that supporting a government , or having even the thought of it , puts you back in time , and dresses you in the garb of the ss.

Totally forgetting the activities of the NKVD who in many opinions were actually worse than the SS.

Like I said before , the lefties , who demonise the right , historically, are far more guilty of totalitarianism , authoritarianism , and outright mass murder, than any right leaning group ...by a country mile !
Yet , as many seem to be espousing socialism , or as I call it , communism lite, they tell us its the 'far' right we have to worry about ?

Excellent post that and I agree completely. I'm sure virtually nobody wants to see a far right party get in, I certainly don't.

The problem for years has been the voting choice for the British public has been either the Conservatives a centralist party who talk a good game but in reality have some leftist policices and Labour, who are a leftist party who at times virtually border on extreme left. Neither party will change those policies, even if they will say what the electorate want to hear at times because both partys know they're running in a two horse race where they will take turns at winning.

It is long past time that these partys need showing that we're not afraid to give other parties a try if they continue to refuse to deliver what the general public, but particularly the working class want.

I have a hypothesis- New Labour was dressed in Blue and stole the centre ground from Cons. The current Cons are dressed in red and are taking left ground away from labour -because they broke the red wall with Brexit and they see taking the left as a way of keeping the red seats

Good to see the fascists putting their hands up at last,

I rest my case 🤣

You can't even talk about it, without  some one accusing you of being one!

think, for the sake of those who live here NOW, that more 3rd world illegal immigration is not good for this country.

If that makes me a fascist in the eyes of some, then so be it, but methinks they don't understand the definition.

And that's being nice and polite about it.

That is desperate, and a total own goal.

Yeah let’s squash a discussion by reaching for a label.

The reach for WW2 reference I have to laugh at.

You do realise you’re the only one acting like a facist? A fag paper between Hitler and Stalin in their modus operandi save of course that Stalin killed way more people.

The modern woke left are idealist facists and as bad as those they seek to decry.

I'd also like to add it is some of my family that are resting in those graves in foreign lands. Them and many like them are the reason you can speak as you do, no matter how ridiculous I believe your opinions are, I would also fight to ensure we are all allowed to continue to express them.

I saw this and immediately thought of this thread:

Nick Freitas (@NickForVA) Tweeted: Enough. I have had it, my constituents have had it, and I am no longer going to sit here while a member of this body accuses us of being bigots simply because we disagree on policy. https://t.co/dx0uMyFmnB

I like that, very very much. 👍

Amen to that.
