Some sport around the firth of forth into west lothian Can Shoot the gosford house area Near aberlady, Its not that dire. and its Well placed for travel up into Scotland, A nice area to retire to i think once you get established (if you do) The Wildfowling situation might not look as bad as you are thinking. If you want any more advice just ask,.

Marsh gun thanks for that. I live in Fife though m8 ,perfectly placed for the Tay,Eden and the Forth.Unfortunately is a step back and down planting myself in East Lothian. Compared with the usual haunts and quality of foreshores  i have found myself in over the last 45 years but hey ho if and when it happens we make the best do we not.

JMCP can be good at times

Last year wasn't that bad as pandemic kept most cowboys away; in fact, reading the newsletter it seems that few resident had the same success as 100s of shooters the year prior.

sure isn't stratigically placed but if you're retired... you can just select the right spot at the right time and have a go; I live in Edinburgh and can only shoot Saturday so...not got the luxury to pick  and just have to drive up or down and keep my finger crossed😁

Not had  Holy island permit for about 6 seasons, But IIRC if you wanted one you just paid your money and got one. Dont remember ever having any problems with availability.

I read a few days back that 300 seasonals or so were issued --must be getting old  as i cant find the article again !Probably was a  bit of info stating how many had been applied for.
