DUNKS
Hi any suggestions welcome. I have a self set tomato plant in the garden laden with huge unripe tomatoes. Only one has gone red I fear the early frosts are going to get them as they dont seem to be turning. Any suggestions as to how to ripen them please. Bigbob
If tomatoes are nearly ripe cut them off the plant and put them on a window sill , still green put them in a drawer with a banana or make chutney apparently

ph5172
Funnily enough mine are at the same stage and show no signs of progression. I have 2 that are literally just turning so they are on my windowsill. im going to leave the others out but as you said I think they are finished. my peppers are done for and are literally just forming

VicW
Put them in a brown paper bag and put the bag in your airing cupboard or anywhere dark and warm. Vic.

powler
Our toms are in the same stage as the inlaws also, seems toms are struggling to ripen this year. Shame as we had mainly roma toms for sauces, looks like an abundance of chutney this year.

I much prefer tomatoes that are still slightly green . Soft , squishy , and sweet , tomatoes are awful.
