Propane bottle

Hi lads was just thinking we use propane for cooking and heating.

Does anybody now of a tool to open and close the top of bottle ask in case I am took ill and can’t get out to do it as my wife would not be able to to open bottle.

not the spanner for the gauge but the top open/close valve been looking for something for ages but just can’t put my finger on it.

I'd have thought a pair of vise grips would do it,if I've understood your post.

Gingercat we use them duel gauges like you are on about if you turn one bottle off and let the other one empty you will get ten days extra out of each bottle the gauge doesn’t let the bottle empty fully before changing over believe me we have lived in this caravan for 17 years now and use 12 big bottles a year for cooking and heating and hot water.

The missis can’t turn the top when the are turned down tight so just making life easier for her if I am out I always check bottle but the other day I forgot and it ran out when she was cooking some cakes I had the blame for it

I have a chain wrench and a baby boa to help undo stuff that are a bit tight. Keep a set at home and a set in the caravan.
