Thanks for looking tony I'd have thought a pair of vise grips would do it,if I've understood your post.
snow white
Would for me but not the missis I have sorted it know a three legged oil filter tool with some steel welded on the inside to make dia smaller will do the job. Thanks 12gauge82 for your reply
Tonka54
My wife uses this for our caravan gas when I am not around. EBAY UK or most supermarkets will sell something similar.😁 Small jar openers Edited October 24, 2021 by Tonka54
GingerCat
Mum uses propane on her hob, she has 2 big bottles outside and a connector for them. When the pressure is low on one it goes to the other. They last just over a year. Her ovens are electric. She's 80 and has no issues as the man or me pop over and change change for her. No fiddling about.
snow white
Gingercat we use them duel gauges like you are on about if you turn one bottle off and let the other one empty you will get ten days extra out of each bottle the gauge doesn’t let the bottle empty fully before changing over believe me we have lived in this caravan for 17 years now and use 12 big bottles a year for cooking and heating and hot water. The missis can’t turn the top when the are turned down tight so just making life easier for her if I am out I always check bottle but the other day I forgot and it ran out when she was cooking some cakes I had the blame for it
ph5172
Can you not back off the other backbench slightly just to take off the tightness. i had a dual fitting spanner for the attaching of the bottles. I’m sure the small end fitted into the splines on the valve
