Hi Mr Pieman,

Reading your post made me truly sad, I hope all goes well and you stay strong during the difficult time ahead.

I lost my Father when I was 13 (19 years ago) he was my hero too, and now we are waiting for my Mother to have a biopsy on 2 "lumps", this is a time for family and putting all our priorities in order, looks like we will both see how "family friendly" the fire service is,

Our thoughts and best wishes to you and your family,

Leigh.

I cannot add much to the previous posts as they have said it all,

My wife too has just had an operation for Breast Cancer and is now waiting for Rasdo therapy, I know how much of a shock it was to us when she was first diagnosed with cancer,

My father died 20 years ago and we considered ourselves very lucky that he just dropped down dead without any known ailments, This was a lot better than the worry you and your family are now going through.

My thoughts are with you and your family

HH
