squirrel shooter
Looking through some belongings of my grandfather and came across this WAGBI tie. I know BASC was previously WAGBI. I've tried to do some research about the tie, can't find anything about it. Can anyone help? Many thanks

London Best
The ties were for sale through the WAGBI shop. I have one myself but a different design with multiple smaller ducks. To be honest mine is fifty years old (maybe more) and is well worn and looks a little shabby. Thinking about it, all WAGBI ties must be forty years old! Edited November 21, 2021 by London Best

The items for sale on the B A S C site is a poor reflection that used to be on the W A G B I stands at the game fairs and in the Christmas magazines , I used to get my Christmas cards and other bits and pieces each year and have still got a few lying about ,I never really got used to the B A S C design and I recon a lot of old hands didn't either. Totally agree. I still think the BASC logo is weird/strange/a disaster/you choose.

I do wonder how those who bemoan the passing of WAGBI think its management would cope with today’s challenges. Whether or not you think BASC is up to scratch, this constant false nostalgia for an organisation long since dead is little more than an old man’s lament, and about as productive.
