Gun case foam.

I have purchased a gun case with solid foam in the bottom does anyone have any tips on the best way to cut out the shapes of the things I want to put in it. Thanks.

Electric carving knife 

draw the shape wit a marker pen first and cut on line 

or a hot wire cutter

I can suggest one of those vibrating multi tools. Very easy to use straight and clean, but hard to do a curve

Serrated knife - or VERY sharp knife works on most foams.  Soft foam is harder to get a neat line - use minimal pressure and plenty of 'slicing' letting the knife cut as cleanly as possible.

If it all goes belly up. My attempt did! . Buy some "pick and pluck foam" off the bay.  Very easy to use.

Bosch do a jigsaw blade for soft material. The part number is T313AW. They 6” long and as sharp as a razor, trust me!
