Hi everyone,

I’m new to this forum and just thought I’d say a quick hello and what a good, useful forum this is from what I've seen so far.

No doubt I'll be asking for some advice in the near future as I'm looking to start out from scratch in the world of shotguns. I'll mainly concentrating on clay pigeon shooting to begin with.

Thanks

Chris

Hi , where you looking at going clay shooting

Hi,

Hopefully somewhere somewhere fairly local. I'm north-east Hampshire, bordering Surrey and West Sussex so hopefully I'll get to find some nice shoots within a reasonable distance to go on a regular basis.

Do you have any recommendations?

Hullo from NW Hants. You have a few if you're happy to go to Chalky Hill, Wallers Ash, Popham, Owls Lodge, and then depending where you are you may find going down to Fareham way as easily. Plenty of shooting grounds in the area for sure! Welcome aboard, I am only about 6-7 months ahead of you on your journey :)

Thank you HantsRob. I'll have a look at those. Cheers.

Wallers is good book lessons and new starter stands there ;  there 2 layouts 50 and 70 bird , chalky and Popham are ok but layouts rarely change

To be fair, Andy would disagree about Popham. The stands change every fortnight, even if only a little bit on some, it's always different to the time before.

Except maybe the #### of a rabbit.

Sue and Dave are looking to sell the clay rights next year, I wonder if it will change much with whomever takes it on!
