As much as he might be a decent guy, the Conservatives can't be trusted. They're just a slightly less left Labour party now. Nothing Conservative about them.

For years now, I have yet to find one of any persuasion that i would trust to put our people first as they were voted in to do?

Which is why I'm going to give another party a go from now on, if they don't get a go, how will we ever find out if the country could be run better?

Just don't encourage the limp dumps - trying to out woke the woke, outgreen the greens, and be more left than Momentum.

Definitely not, someone like reform UK, preferably under Farage, even if he wasnt good at running the country, they'd sort out immigration and some other issues within weeks.

98 of his own MP's voting against him says it all, he is a total liabilty to the Tory party.

When you know the opposition is going to vote for the bill it's a safe way to show your displeasure at parts of the bill knowing that your vote is not vital.

Johnson is wrecking the country's democracy, economy and the country's mental health for nothing, he is a disgrace.  This is a total over reaction, does anyone think we can afford another lockdown and Furlough for a disease that will be with us forever.  Anyone remember Boris's 60% infection for Herd Immunity, we must be way past that with everyone who has had it or been jabbed or both.

^^^^^ This.  Unfortunately it's not just Boris it's the Tory party. If it is not them it will be labour. We are plagued by a poor electoral system that reflects the lack of realism in the population as a whole. None of us will vote for pain even if we know it's the best medicine. None of us will accept blame it's always someone else's fault. The two party system is a great way to apportion blame.

Having said that Boris is off the scale incompetent and has drawn us all into a land of unfulfilled promises.

Perhaps worth considering that our current freedoms are the envy of many EU countries that have much tighter rules at the moment.

We’re viewed by them as taking a risk to unlock back in June, and it paying off.

May well have been true then with what was around then, but along came Delta - and now Omicron - both with higher transmission.

Fact is we are far from the most restricted ......

just look at Scotland,  Wales and most of Europe.

Someone (didn't get who) interviewed on R4 just now is adamant there is a real risk of NHS being overwhelmed in Jan unless we reduce rate of growth now.

And you think you got a better deal with the fat controller

Not a Johnson fan, but I'd prefer Johnson to Sturgeon or Drakeford any day

Running the country is not about who you like he has dropped the ball to many times you can tell he is lying his lips are moving

One word, farage, of he just one term, even if he did everything else terribley, he would sort out all the issues the others wouldn't and a party like the cons would reform to a proper party that could then be bored for again.

This is exactly what happened with the fat controller he was voted in for Brexit  but unfortunately there is  more to being in charge of the country  than Brexit  he has made a right  up of it

Agreed, however, there was no one else in a position at the time, at least farage would sort out the big issues, possibly doing very well as a pm as well, and if not we could vote a different government in after those issues were solved to lead the country forwards. We've voted far, far worse in many times, why not give him a go?

Because he doesn't have a party to form a Government, doesn't have close running mates/colleagues to fill the Minister posts and cabinet ....... and (as I have said before) is basically a 'one man band'.

I am not 'anti Farage' but one man can't form a government - and it is not clear at all who the others would be.  Maybe he can find suitable candidates and form a credible 'team' - but his record there is not good ........
