It is a good way of burning through a tin of pellets in short order, it is addictive and you have to shoot and reload fast otherwise it stops or slows to nothing, which defeats the object. Infact I've just made a similar thing for plinking in my garden .it seems that yours has an issue with the paddles staying back . Is that fixable? The paddles are bending, there are no magnets to hold them over. I think I made a mistake by oiling all the joints and bearings before taking it outside! My Theoben only puts out about 10.8 - 11 ft-lbs depending on the ambient temperature. At the 25 yards I am shooting at the paddles are hitting the back of the arm and rebounding. I can bend the metal in my fingers, it really is quite flimsy, but still good fun. Maybe I shall do as you suggest and use my bell target rifle, but it is slow to load, that is the trouble.
