Hope someone can help, I've done a search but can't find anything. There was a thread a few years ago about a lad that built his own punt and punt gun can anybody point me in the right direction please. Think he also had a web site about it. TIA.

Maybe your thread will give the gent the inspiration to build one or the other or even both 😊👍

Good luck to him!

My punt got vandalised by a seal looking for a hammock over Christmas 😡

Got to repair the washboards so we can get afloat again for the last part of the season!

I can still remember your thread about the gun punt you built , easily in the top ten threads since I have been on the forum , Is it still a float O F ? :good:

They both are

but due to the change in my circumstances mine is only used for the odd sightseeing trip up the estuary now

superb thread that one................:good:

Your one about rebuilding your Land Rover engine is well up on the leader board , I followed it , but apart from putting fuel inside the fuel cap that is about all my knowledge on motors , I leave it to the experts like yourself to carry out repairs which then give me more time to get down to my beloved marsh ,

i must have been mad.......that was a long old thread....but i completed it.....JDog was there for the start up....smoked like a pig as the timing was out...it eventually ran sweet as a nut ...you could balance a 50p coin on it at 1000 rpm

i was looking at the thread a couple of weeks ago...wonder if anyone has looked at it since ?

Yes it is all coming back now you mentioned Mr JDog coming down for the grand start up , the smoke was something else , at first we thought the beet factory was alight , then through the network of grapevines that travel across land and water twice the speed of sound , it came over loud and clear that a man in Cantley who is a expert on Land Rover's  was firing his engine up after a complete overall and I mean complete , once we heard that we could get back to normal duties and peace was restored :good:
