No mention of the damage they do to our songbird population though.  OIn my view every weapon is welcome.  It's the 'Fluffy' lovers in towns and cities and also in villages that will take a lot of persuading.

Historically the result of tail bounties is tailless creatures being released to breed and keep up the revenue stream, or breeding programs of animals to harvest for bounties.

You’re deincentivising the wiping out of the cash cow. Plus Walker would be a millionaire.

It was a shilling a tail when I started, but people just let enough survive to keep the income coming in. I was getting sixpence a week pocket money in those days and could make a couple of bob on a Saturday morning with my air rifle!

Well I would have had sufficient for a days pheasant shooting last year.
