Meat mincer?

Hi guys after a bit of advice, now that I’m able to get into more deer I would like to mince a fair bit of the venison. I’ve got a cheap hand grinder that is rubbish. It got me thinking are the any other differences between hand and electric mincers other than a motor instead of hand crank?
I’ve got a fair few electric motors and gearboxes and am pretty handy with a lathe so wouldn’t be hard adapt it to be electric. So my question is do you guys think it’s worth me doing or will the cheap hand grinder still be **** even when powered by a powerful motor? thanks a lot guys

I've been thinking about doing something along the same lines,  the Kitchen  Craft mincer I have  came from oxfam £5 so not much to loose , the motor I'm thinking of using as a treadle start on it .

May I ask why you think it's rubbish?

Are the blades in correctly?

Is the meat warm or cold that you are using?

My hand mincer works a treat with meat very cold partly frozen.

If it doesn't work well hand turned it will probably work worse with a motor. If its just a case of too much effort then it may work. Check out

You won't go far wrong with weschenfelder . Everything they sell is decent quality,  and theyre the most helpful people you'll ever deal with 👍.
