chrisjpainter Posted March 10, 2022 Report Share Posted March 10, 2022 I have a mate who had cause to foster this poor wee mite of a thing on the understanding he'd go to a rescue centre when possible. It was an emergency, get-the-dog-out-of-there-quick sort of rescue with no long term plan, so my mate took him in on the short term. He was in an appalling state as you can see, and almost completely spirit broken. Three months on and it's a very different story. The inevitable's happened and she's adopted Joe. He spends his days with her other two dogs and whatever else is running around the farm, generally getting into mischief and loving an outdoors life, whilst occasionally having to take part in photo shoots for Pancake Day... You wouldn't think it was the same dog, both in looks and temperament. Gone is the quivering wreck; she described him as having the play style of a velociraptor...The other two think he's great. Zara (pancake on head) is still queen bee, but he's found a place for himself in an energetic world that gives him all the exercise and companionship he needs. Zara's quite long in the leg for (as defined by the law) a 'pit-bull type' dog, but Joe's still longer in the leg and possibly will grow a bit more too.
