We've decided to sell our old Forester 'X', due to the fact that it gets almost no use any more.

2012/62 Forester 2.0 (150hp) petrol, in blue with a 5 speed manual gearbox, permanent 4WD, proper high/low box.

We've owned it since November 2017, the good lady upgraded to a newer version in summer 2019, meaning this became my 'shoot wagon'.

Mileage since then on the MOTs :

November 2019 : 100,380

October 2020 : 102,125

November 2021 : 105,653

Mileage today : 106,362

All checkable on the DVLA MOT history site.

Everything works apart from the radio (aerial broke off, CD and bluetooth for phone etc work fine), the car does have a few scuffs and minor scratches. One light lens (rear driver's side) is cracked, as can be seen in the pictures. The decent-sized scuff in another picture is on the rear bumper, just below the cracked light.

Features (I'm not going to list everything, only those things that might be extra - nothing more annoying than someone putting 'steering wheel') !

Heated front seats

Dog guard (aftermarket)

Bumper / boot sill protector (genuine Subaru item)

Towbar with electrics (aftermarket)

Average economy pottering about is 30mpg. Can get up to 33 on a run.

Subaru had a recall a couple of years ago, they'd had a few cases of valve springs snapping. This car was in for that recall repair in summer 2021

I've been made a firm offer (after viewing) of £3200 from someone in the trade. As such, this is priced at £3500, and I am NOT willing to negotiate.

If you'd like more, or higher quality images, or have any other questions, then please ask

Any inspection welcomed

Absolute bargain, I think it is worth more than that.  Have you tried Motorway or We Buy and Car?

WBAC are actually where the offer was from - £3.5k initially, dropped due to the damaged bits.

I know prices are currently a bit silly, but we'd be happy with this price for the car - we bought it for a cheap price in 2017 (£6k), meaning that it's depreciated by somewhere around £500 per annum. I had a look on Autotrader, but the only problem is that these are quite rare, so not a lot to compare it against

Well I have a 2016 Petrol like yours albeit with 43k on the clock and CVT but similar on Autotrader are 13 - 14k, Dales Subaru have a16 plate Diesel for 18k.  Given they will do 250k or more if looked after yours just seemed cheap to me.  It might be worth a punt on Autotrader or Ebay?

Morning,

Hope you are well, it certainly seemed a very capable vehicle when I've seen it in action and makes the perfect shoot vehicle.

I highly recommended getting a price from Motorway, a friend of ours sold their car on there for £3000 more than what they valued it at, they actually offer you a reserve price, sell it to the trade in their auction to the highest bidder, no questions asked.

You just have to fill in a form, take the picture they ask and voila. GLWS either way, and look after yourself.

Cheers, J.

Motorway don't touch anything with over 100k on the clock, unfortunately
