Hi gang.

Got over one of my perms this morning at 5.30. About 7 acres and only saw 1 rabbit. After 2 hours went home.

I'm the only one who shoots over there once or sometimes twice a week So god knows where the rabbits have gone.

It was a bit chilly so perhaps that didn't help. But will be back next week.

Maybe RHD has found its way to your permission.

They reckon rabbit population is down 90% or more (I'm sure I read 96% wipe out) in the North of England / Scotland due to VHD.

Doubt they will ever recover to a decent number with it still about.

Mixy was bad enough.

Hi gang.

Went out for a couple of hours this morning and never even saw a rabbit.

Just sat there freezing my plums off. But will be back next week.

Putting a variation in today for a new rifle. Wondering if its worth it or not

               the way things are going.

RHD    VHD    same disease    When it first appeared over 30 years ago it was known as RHD    Rabbit   Viral   same disease.  I'm lead to believe it causes massive internal bleeding and the rabbits tend to die underground unlike mix.

Only have a rifle to head shoot bunnies for the pot .love casserole rabbit  with RHD even if it looks clean you don’t really know .can you tell when you paunch them . Who would feel ok to eat them now .?

Only saw 1 again this morning but managed to get him. Up at 4am 7 mile drive is it worth it ?.

Might have a couple of weeks off.

If there is so few why dont you leave them to breed....no point in killing the last rabbit.

Good point.  But the damage is still being done to the ground. The Rabbits are obviously there when i'm not.
