I have to renew my passport as its recently expired behind my back 😩 😉

What would be the fastest way to renew 🤔

I have just looked at how to do it and there are numerous options. Online, by post or the post office checking thingymybob.

Are there other options?

What would you do for the fastest 🤔

In person, at a Passport Office, by appointment.

Turn up. Do the face to face. Go and wander around the local area. Come back two or three hours later and collect the thing. I've only done it that way the once.

But, yes, it does get you the thing the same day. A tip...check the place and choose an day when there's a  market on and/or the local shops don't close early.

Next step down is this. One week delivery.

Do you think they have shut these appointments down? Has anyone had one recently?

A renewal is quicker than new first passport as they are updating an existing record.

we have a renewal going through for my son hoping that it back within 10 weeks !

I think the 1 week fast track has been removed because it has been over subscribed!

Post Office Check and send is where they make sure that everything that your to submit, is all correct and won’t be rejected by the Passport office.

Same day service was most probably ceased at the start of covid and like many other Government services, hasn’t resumed for one Union excuse or the other.

Last week I submitted an online renewal for my lads Passport and sent his passport is registered mail.
Four days later and I received notification that they were in possession of it.

Hopefully it will be renewed soon, unlike my bloody FAC/SGC renewal 😡

Online. 2weeks from Start to finish, informed of progress throughout no problem. This was 3 weeks ago.

I have done mine on line just now, they want the old passport sending back so I have took it to the late post office and sent it off recorded delivery.

Thanks for everyone's advice 👍

I've just had a text to say don't forget to post your old passport, which has been done. Hopefully they are on the ball.

Received a text today saying passport being printed.
At this rate it will be less than two weeks turnaround 👍🏻

Yeah, but they are probably using a John Bull printing outfit

Hi

My lad did him Mothers, on-line (despite my using the PO all previous years) and it came back in just over 2weeks. His own renewal 2? years back was again about 2weeks.

Maybe there is something in 'elec-trickery' stuff on-line, though I am still in old ways......

I posted my old passport last Wednesday evening "signed for" so suppose they might get it next week
