Taking a friend shooting ???.

Recommended Posts

Hi gang.

I have an open cert and permission off the landowner to take a friend with me on his land. But my friend has a closed cert.

Can someone tell me the legal side of this. I know its been asked before but i can't find it.

                                                                                                                                         Thanks all.

As I understand it the wording on the certificate  for the condition was something like Only to be used on ground deemed suitable by the police, if his condition says the same then he just needs to get the cops to see if the ground is cleared and if so he should be good to go.

Firstly get him to call the Licensing Officer. Explain the situation and tell him the land is approved.  According to how long his present cert has run he just light get an open cert isued. It has happened BUT not all licensing departments think in the same way.  No harm in asking nice and politely and also mention the word 'mentor'   'training' ...... nudge nudge wink wink.
